Pope-Levison is Research Professor of Practical Theology at Southern Methodist University/Perkins School of Theology. Currently, she directs a million-dollar grant project awarded from the Lilly Endowment, titled “Testimony as Community Engagement.” Her published areas of research—seven books and more than 30 articles—span a wide breadth, from women’s religious history to Methodist history, from theology to mission and evangelism. Models of Evangelism (Baker Academic Press, 2020), her most recent book, was named a Top Five Book of 2020 on the Jesus Creed Blog and the Resource of the Year in Theology and Biblical Studies by Outreach magazine for 2020.
