Patrick Oden married Amy in early 2009. Vianne was born early on Easter morning in 2012 and Oliver was born around tea time on the last day of July in 2014. They live in Sacramento where Patrick is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Theology at Fuller Seminary, based at their Sacramento campus. He has written three books, with the most recent The Transformative Church: New Ecclesial Models and the Theology of Jürgen Moltmann (Fortress, 2015). When he’s not writing, teaching, or pouring over theology and church history texts, he loves kayaking, staring at trees, listening to ravens, camping on islands, and long walks on the beach.
