Hampton serves as professor of youth ministry at Asbury Theological Seminary. Before coming to Asbury, he served as a local church minister, denominational leader, and as co-founder of Barefoot Ministries, a youth ministry publishing company. He is also a former chair of the Association of Youth Ministry Educators. He is the author/editor of several books including Everyday Saint: Rejecting Sin, Choosing Love (Nazarene Publishing House, 2011) and Worship-Centered Teaching(Nazarene Publishing House, 2011).
