Jones is a John Wesley Fellow and elder in The United Methodist Church. He serves as executive director of A Foundation for Theological Education and Williams Professor of Theology and Christian Ministry at Duke University Divinity School. His publications include the acclaimed Embodying Forgiveness: A Theological Analysis (Eerdmans, 1995). He regularly writes reflections for Faith & Leadership, an offering of Leadership Education at Duke Divinity.
