John Wesley Fellows and special guests, we look forward to you joining us Thursday-Sunday, January 11-14, 2024, for the AFTE John Wesley Fellowship Christmas Conference at The Museum of the Bible, 400 4th St SW, Washington, DC 20024. Conference panels and guest speakers will be centered on Faith Engaging the Culture in Times Like These.
Special guest speakers will include Dr. David Corey, Director of the Baylor in Washington Program and Baylor University Honors College professor of philosophy, Dr. Elizabeth Corey, Associate Dean and professor of political science at Baylor University, and others to be announced. We will share more details with you as soon as it is available. See the first of readings for the conference in the attached file.
The Christmas Conference will begin with conference check-in at The Hyatt Place Washington DC National Mall on Thursday, January 11th at 3:00 p.m. and conclude on Saturday, January 13th at 3:00 p.m. Please schedule your departure for no earlier than Saturday, January 13th 5:30 p.m. so that there is ample time to obtain transportation to the airport for travel home. (If it is best to stay over Saturday night, your hotel will be covered.)
Currently funded Fellows are expected to attend. Your travel expenses will be paid for by the AFTE office. For the mentors of the currently funded fellows, AFTE will be assisting in your travel costs. Once you have registered for the conference, hotel reservations with the Hyatt Place will be made for you through the AFTE office.
